Royal Holloway is today, more than ever, the backdrop to many stories – historical, architectural and cinematic, as well as academic and personal.
And the characters that make those stories include our students, our royal connections – and a stuffed grizzly bear.
Holloway's Ladies
Holloway’s Ladies tells the story of women's suffrage at Royal Holloway in graphic novel form. It follows a modern day student researching early alumnae including Ellen Charlotte Higgins and Emily Wilding Davison. It was created by Kirsten Hankins as part of the MA Public History programme, based on sources from the Royal Holloway Archives, the Bedford Centre for the History of Women and Egham Museum.
