Dr Deborah Harvey

STEM lead and Interim Head of Foundation Year Programmes

I have taught undergraduate and postgraduate Biological Sciences students at Royal Holloway since 2012. In 2022, I joined the Foundation team, teaching on the Life Sciences strand.

I am a passionate biologist who loves teaching all aspects of biology.  I am also an active researcher, working on developing pheromone lures for endangered species of insects, which I then use in monitoring programmes . I also developed the Schools Biodiversity Project which works with schoolchildren to improve the biodiversity in their school grounds and explore how this benefits them and the grounds.
